Ribs in bbq marinade. How to cook?

I bought ribs and a jar of bbq sauce/marinade but not sure how to cook them. What temperature? How long? Covered or uncovered?
Any advice?

You could use this recipe, because I have found it really works and is better than the ready vac packed supermarket offers.
Jamie finishes the ribs off on a BBQ, but I do them in the oven and remove the foil for the last 15 minutes.

  1. Heat the oven to 135ºC.
  2. Place ribs on rack in a lined (for easier cleaning) roasting dish curl side up, and cook with the lid on for 2½ hours.
  3. Use any marinade left over in the packet to baste the ribs half way through cooking.
  4. You can either finish the ribs under the grill or remove the lid and continue cooking for 45 minutes, basting with sauce every 15 minutes.
  5. Cut ribs and serve

I do ribs regularly. I do my own marinades but I'm sure it will work the same. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs or it will be tough. Use nearly all the jar and marinate for as long as possible. Pre heat oven to 160 then place in a baking dish and cover with two layers of foil and cook for around 2-2 and half hours. Once soft brush the top layer with remaining marinade and broil under the grill or use the oven on a higher heat for about 5-10mins

I usually boil my ribs first, then cover completely in sauce and bake in the oven.

Thanks, the ribs were a big hit. Might have to buy more to try the Jamie Oliver recipe though
