What's your go-to recipe book?

Does anyone else have one recipe book that they use lots? Something where almost anything you make from it becomes a favourite? I have an old Sainsburys recipe book (classic recipe collection) which I love. All the recipes are basic stuff but everything is so tasty and everyone in the family enjoys them so much I make them over and over. Best spaghetti carbonara I've ever had! I also really love Stew! by Alan Rosenthal although I've only tried about a quarter of the recipes they are all very good.

Which recipe books does everyone love? I got the Stewed! recommendation on here a few years ago so would like to find some more.

I have lots of recipe books and I'm an obsessive magazine recipe cutter outer. If I try and like a recipe I write it in a book. It's my tried and trusted recipe book I go to first.

I've got over 70 books, plus lots of print-outs from the WWW.

Can't say I've got a particular favourite, I'm always trying new recipes.

However, I find the Hairy Bikers are good - I've got 10

5 O'clock Apron by Claire Thomson is fabulous, as are all her books - not too many ingredients and family friendly.

Weight watchers slim essentials cookbook from 1994. Not that I watch my weight at all but the recipes are tasty and reliable.

I love the Hairy Bikers/Dieters books. Their food is easy to cook and full of amazing flavours. It is all the type of stuff we like to eat as a family.

The Good Housekeeping Cookery Book and and Delia's cookery courses and seasonal books. I use these far more than any of the fancy cheffy books I have

Also for Indian food Madhur Jaffrey Indian Cookery is hard to beat

For cakes a little BBC Good Food Cakes and Bakes book. I've cooked more from that book than any other cake book and they all work and are unfussy to make.

Also like Hairy Bikers original diet book. Great recipes that don't seem low cal.

I like the hairy bikers original diet book too, but it's not one for quick dinners as some of the recipes involve a lot of preparation. The book I use most when thinking about family meals that are quick and easy is Nigella express. I also like jack Monroe's books for tasty and easy meals
