Glut of cherries - cake recipes wanted

Tesco man delivered almost 1kg of fresh cherries yesterday and I thought I might try baking with some of them to use them up. Can anyone provide a nice recipe for some sort of cherry cake?

traditionally you'd make clafoutis...
can't find a basic recipe offhand but this one looks good

Or muffins?

muffins courtesy of Twiglett

mix together:
9oz SR flour
1/2tsp salt
6oz sugar
250g whatever fruit

and mix together seperately (in a jug):
5floz milk
3floz veg oil
1 large egg
tsp vanilla essence (though almond would be lovely with cherries)

mix wet ingredients into dry
180C 20-25min for muffins, 15min for fairy cake size, 30-40min if one big cake
