Why do my parsnips always stick

Hello,

I have a roasting parsnip problem.

It doesn't matter how much oil I use they always stick to the pan. Nothing else sticks to the pan only parsnips.

I par boil them before putting them in the oven with oil.

Any thoughts

Is the oil smoking hot when you put them in? They stick if you put them in cold oil...

yup, 2nd super hot oil. I put them over the top of spuds so they dont ever really touch the pan.

Ah I've been putting them in cold oil so I'll try hot.

Thank you!!

We use baking paper on the bottom. Works every time

I use butter and honey/maple syrup instead of oil
