I make a damn nice chicken curry (for dp mostly as it has no added salt so good for high blood pressure) but really want to expand my repertoire

So does anybody have a nice curry recipe to rival a take away??

I like this one. Easy to make & I always make extra for the freezer

So difficult to answer without knowing your likes & dislikes.

Curry could be Indian, Thai, Vietnamese, Malaysian or even Chinese etc.

I avoid any recipe that uses "curry powder" or "curry paste".
Madhur Jaffrey has a great book called "Curry Easy", if you just want Indian curries.

Chickpea and coconut curry:

It says 5 mins but it's really more like 20. Didn't think it would be as delicious as it is. I make it all the time now!

I frequently make Jamie's Pukka Yellow curry (from the Save with Jamie book) and the Hairy Dieter's chicken bhuna (I think!). Both really tasty. Jamie's has chickpeas or lentils which DH can't eat so I substitute those for mixed frozen veg.

The Hairy Bikers curry book is excellent. We really like their lamb biryani. Takes some real effort but tastes amazing.
