What to serve with crumble?

Personally I'd go double cream but think toddler more likely to eat custard as that's what they have at nursery.

What accompaniment do you and your family eat with crumble? (Apple, blueberry and cinnamon to be precise.)

shiveringtimber · 06/10/2019 11:13

Good quality vanilla ice cream or heavy cream.

whitetoblerone · 06/10/2019 11:14

Ice cream or custard! Custard is my personal favourite though!

SummerHouse · 06/10/2019 11:14

Vanilla ice cream and custard...

iklboo · 06/10/2019 11:42

Ice cream. Hot & cold combo is lovely.

WitsEnding · 06/10/2019 11:43

Custard. Clotted cream for visitors.

Coffeeandchocolate9 · 06/10/2019 11:45

Custard! Ice cream at a real push. Never cream 😉

CeeceeBloomingdale · 06/10/2019 11:45

Custard is the only acceptable option imo!

maggycool · 06/10/2019 16:34

DD likes custard. As an emergency pud she had it with vanilla ice team and is now a fan.She will probably mostly have this now as she has to make her own custard.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 06/10/2019 18:51

Ice cream or custard. Although I probably wouldn't say no to cream either/as well.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 06/10/2019 18:51

I had a dessert in a pub in Belfast once that came with cream, ice cream AND custard. Pudding goals.

SummerHouse · 06/10/2019 19:16

Yes Remus that's what I'm talking about! Your first thought is you can't have both

Second thought is Why not????

Redshoeblueshoe · 06/10/2019 19:18

Strawberrycreamsundae · 06/10/2019 19:22

Custard AND vanilla ice cream.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 06/10/2019 19:22

Summer - We're having plum crumble and custard shortly. But now I'm regretting not buying ice cream/cream as well!

Stravapalava · 06/10/2019 21:15

DH served me up some cinamonny apple & blackberry crumble with some salted caramel ice cream the other day. It was delicious.

SpaceDinosaur · 06/10/2019 23:10

Oh god I am drooling SO much now

shiveringtimber · 07/10/2019 01:01

Actually, I'd eat crumble with anything (within reason), with anyone, at anytime! ❤️ Love crumble

LaDameAuxLicornes · 07/10/2019 20:14

Greek yoghurt (the actual stuff, not watery "Greek style" - got to be Total full fat or Waitrose own) if the crumble is quite sweet, like an apple crumble. Or double cream drizzled over it if the crumble is a bit tarter, like a blackberry crumble.
