Can anyone advise - I'm planning to make a cake in the shape of a 2 for DS birthday. I have found a "pattern" (good old Pinterest!) for how to cut a round cake and a square cake into the right shape and piece it together but I usually just make round cakes and use a standard 2 egg 4oz of everything else recipe for an 8" round cake. Will the same amount of mixture do for an 8" square tin too? Ie double it and split it between tins?
