I tend to use olive oil for everything but have always used butter for popcorn

I knwo avoiding butter at that level is a bit sad (cholesterol & all that) but could I use olive oil?

nah - you need the full on calorific yumminess of butter IMHO

I kinda thought that

but I am going to drizzel H/M toffee over he top - so surely I won't miss the butter?

i usually use butter or sunflower oil, think olive might flavour the popcorn (ok if salty, but not with sweet)

butter or sunflower oil but not olive. Olive oil Would make it taste wierd.

Butter. A it's just right. B. Olive oil is best cold, it's not really a cooking oil (heating destroys the good nutrients and is a waste of money - if you want to cook with oil, use something cheaper).
