Can someone recommend me a storage bin for 10kg rice?
I've been producing so much food from the garden that we're eating stir fries every night, It made sense to buy a big bag of rice. But I don't know which container to buy to store it.

I’d just get a jar that hold a kilo or so and decant that much into the jar progressively, then clip shut the bag with one of those food bag clips.

It's much better value to buy a large sack. As pp says, keep it in the sack and use it to fill a smaller container as needed. I used to keep a large bag of rice in the coats cupboard under the stairs.

a 'really useful' box with lid.
with that large quantity you want to keep vermin out.

I bought some large food storage containers from Asda that hold a large bag of rice. They were in the homeware section.

Alternatively if you have an area with Indian shops nearby, they may sell these as Indian households often buy in bulk.

If you have a pet feed store - or saddlery near you then you get one of the storage containers from there - something like this feedbins.uk.com/75-plastic-feed-bins

This is best for us for our 10kg rice, it was around £20 then. We bought more for other family members after they saw ours and wanted the same.

Pros include tiny little wheels for easy of moving, flip top lid to reach in and scoop out exactly what you want and it fits 10kg white jasmine rice perfectly without excess wasted space.

I just use a very large 5 gallon / 20L white bucket I got from eBay. It costs £7.95 if you search it on there Grin

Isn't the 10kg bag resealable? (Ziploc like a freezer bag?) I just leave in the bag then.
