Replacing beef/pork mince with turkey - tasty meal recommendation

I'm trying to reduce the amount of red meat we eat (especially pork) but so far the few meals I've tried (chilli & spag Bol) haven't been anywhere near as good as the original recipe both in terms of flavour and in particular texture. I've already defrosted a pack of turkey mince so any dinner recommendations much appreciated. We eat most things except mushroom!

Fajita wraps? DS likes those with turkey mince.

Fry up the mince with onion, peppers and the fajita spice, place in warm wraps with salad, plain yogurt or sour cream, etc.

Turkey meatballs are lovely.

Grate an onion & garlic into the mince. Add a squeeze of tomato purée, an egg and a spoon of flour/breadcrumbs, whatever you have to hand. Finely chop a big handful of parsley and put that in. Mix really well preferably with hands until the mix is smooth and cohesive. Roll into balls and chill for 30 mins or so. Pan fry or bake for 20 mins.

Serve with pasta/rice and a tomato sauce. Or they are delicious in wraps or flatbreads with salad and tzatziki. They freeze really well before cooking - freeze in a single layer and when frozen pop them into container. That way they don’t all stick together.

Great suggestions thank you. I'm going to make the turkey meatballs now as we're now out tonight so I'll freeze for the weekend. I don't really want to do pasta so some sort of tomato based sauce might be nice - peppers, onion etc sort of like a Spanish stew? What do you reckon?

Turkey leg mince is excellent in chilli, breast mince is too light.

If you are bothered by such things the general advice is not to refreeze in the same state so you would need to cook the meatballs before freezing. I'm not much of one for food safety rules but thought I'd point it out.

One thing you could do is simply half and half with the beef/pork, it might be a pragmatic solution if you still want to eat things like spag bol?

Asian flavours might work well to give some flavour. I'm pretty sure I've made the recipe below with turkey rather than pork:

I used to make a mean turkey, spinach, and feta burger. The key is ground dark meat turkey.
