OK so I keep messing these ups .. and they're too dry or too chewy

so I have the following ingredients which I have used in some combination over the last 6 years ..tell me which to use

cornflakes
rice crispies
chocolate (72% dark)
golden syrup
black treacle
butter
mini marshmallows
raisins

Oh yes, Twig. I want one too. Mine always end up soggy and limp rather than crunchy. Gross.

I have made several batches recently using the various ingredients on your list. The conclusion was that cornflakes, and melted Cadbury's chocolate were best. Boring I know.

just tried again with chocolate, butter, golden syrup dollop, rice crispies and raisins

will let you know

mine is verrrry complicated. you need to say it a la gordon ramsay for best effect:

rice krispies
melted milk chocolate

mix together
leave
done

how can u mess up choc crispies! I agree with mimizan, and I think you are messing it up by trying to overcomplicate it.

Oh please I have to make rice crispie bars ( not cake cases things) and I have tried a few but they are all too soggy.

Twiglett · 01/08/2007 15:22

always found crispies and chocolate alone ends up dry

ok just done

chocolate
1.5 oz butter
dollop golden syrup
rice crispies and sprinkle of raisins

will let ya know

try melting mars bars and little butter and mixing in rice crispies the best i have ever made

Twiglett · 01/08/2007 18:57

the ones I made were almost perfect I have to say .. at least the closest I've ever got .. rather like a fruit and nut bar without the nut

will try again with assorted cadbury chocolate
