Paneer

Does anyone have any good recipes to use paneer with?

DP does the cooking in the house and we use The Curry Guy cook book a lot and have only ever done the paneer recipe from that. It's lovely with the marinade, chilli, onions and peppers but was just wondering if anyone had any tried and tested recipes they could recommend?

Thanks!

Very simple but I dice it into cubes, dust it with cumin powder, cumin seeds, chilli powder and salt and dry fry till dark brown then eat it with mango chutney.

Butter paneer curry by Meera Sodha: really delicious.

I always make this Keith Floyd recipe, simple but lovely. Also, if you google 'Felicity Cloake saag paneer' she did an article on it but I notice hers doesn't have cream.

Maunika Gowhardhan’s Paneer Jalfrezi is delicious, served with parathas.

Chickpea pancake by meera sodha. Chickpea flour mixed with herbs and water for pancake batter, top with paneer done in a pan with lime pickle so it goes crispy.

Everything in her fresh India book is amazing

Google Tarla Dalal. She’s considered the definitive authority on home Indian cooking in India. Sanjeev Kapoor also has some nifty recipies but Tarla’s work far better for someone who isn’t in India.
