Recipes for ghee?

I randomly bought a big tub of ghee last year, forgot about it and now I've discovered it again and it's to be used by next month! What can I use it for, can it be spread on things like regular butter or is it strictly for cooking with?

I use mine mostly for spreading on naan and chapatti. Other option is to google for some Indian sweets. Mysore pal is nice and uses lots.

But it keeps for ages past the date in the fridge.

Any Indian recipe that states oil (unless its for a vegan) can use ghee, which will give a delicious flavour.
I like it for cooking puree and to put on chapatis but it's not salty enough to use as butter on bread or spuds, for example.

Make a vat of dhal and portion it into the freezer!
