How to stick on fondant icing decorations?

Am making a cake and covering with fondant icing. Then have got a few fondant icing decorations to put on. Will they stick with buttercream or will something else work better?

Something is telling me that marmalade diluted is a possibility but am sure real bakers will be along to advise soon!

Vodka

Royal icing always works just fine for me. Don't make it too runny so that it drips, but it makes a great glue and doesn't add any additional unwanted flavours.

Water or vodka

Cooled boiled water or just buy edible glue, any cake supplies place will have it or hobbycraft, if you've a few days try Amazon Smile

I use cooled boiled water and a paintbrush (new and clean of course) can also use a wee bit of royal icing

I've used Tylo powder (the teeniest amount) mixed with water to make a glue before
