Just fancy it....can you grill the aubergines on a BBQ?

The aubergines would be delicious grilled on a barbecue. Lovely and Smokey, which is what you’re going for.

This is very good. It’s not called Baba Ganoush but similar enough.

Mmm, yes that would be lovely. Iranians have a similar recipe called mirza ghasemi where the crucial step is that you throughly char the aubergines first, on a grill or BBQ, or MIL uses her gas hob, you then mush them up and make into a dip with garlic, tomatos and some egg, it's heavenly...
