Smoked tofu

I have a pack of smoked Tofoo in my fridge and can't think what to do with it.

Has anyone used it before and what did you make with it? I've used normal tofu a lot in the past, but for some reason the smokedness has thrown me a little.

TIA

I don’t usually buy it, I normally buy plain but I’ve seen recipes on the Tofoo website such as this goulash tofoo.co.uk/recipes/smoked-tofu-goulash#Ingredients

And there’s also a recipe with it in my Hairy Bikers cookbook www.hairybikers.com/recipes/view/smoked-tofu-and-vegetable-hash

It’s quite a mild smoked flavour, I’d just use it in the same way as plain tofu.

I just ate some for lunch, sliced and pan fried with a little oil until golden, on a bowl of red cabbage slaw with ginger and tamari dressing. It was lovely.

Toss it in cornflour and fry it.

Use it instead of smoked haddock for vegan kedgeree.

I love this stuff - I use it in shakshuka instead of eggs, in stir fries, risotto, noodle soup - also really like it chopped and heated with baked beans
