No one IRL will really be bothered about this so hoping I can share here.
My first ever cake!
I only ever baked cookies and brownies before (and some dodgy muffins). I know it's wonky and looks a bit weird and I got a bit sprinkle happy and don't really know what I'm doing ...
But I'm proud that I actually managed the whole thing without burning anything or the whole thing collapsing!
It's vanilla cake and basic vanilla buttercream with a teeny bit of lemon.

Oh dear the white chocolate in the buttercream sounds like heaven ! How much do you put in?

I added double cream to mine as per the recipe and mine called for 360 grams of icing sugar! Will definitely scale back on that as yours sounds much more reasonable.

Cream cheese is also something I haven't heard of .

I'm sorry, I made a mistake in the recipe Blush

It's^ 250g butter and 500g^ icing sugar.

But adding the cream cheese transforms it.

Yeah I do double the icing sugar to butter, then beat like buggery. Splash of milk to soften it and some vanilla extract.

I’ve made cream cheese frosting too - instead of milk I use some lemon juice, which also helps to cut the sweetness and give a nice tang with the cream cheese.

Recently tried Swiss meringue buttercream - omg it’s ridiculous! Seems a bit of a faff but if you have a stand mixer it’s well worth a try, so smooth it’s amazing, want to try it with some flavourings in, like freeze dried strawberries etc
