Cookbook recommendation for someone with little time and motivation!

I do like cooking but I'm not a natural, and I don't have much time with two small kids and working full time

We've been a bit lazy with buying convenience food but I'd love to find a few quick, easy, healthy and tasty recipes

I've tried Jamie Oliver's 5 ingredients one but I haven't liked what I've cooked (my fault I expect!)

Can anyone recommend a reliable cook book?

the pinch of nom book link is fab, and whilst it has slimming recipes you can adapt them (eg: adding more cheese etc), which is what i do. it also has a lot of slow cooker options, so you can pop it in at the start of the day and have it ready when you come home x

I love Completely Perfect: 120 Essential Recipes for Every Cook by Felicity Cloake.

She takes various classic dishes and tries the recipes from lots of well known chefs, tells you want worked/didn't work about each of them and then gives you her perfect version.

I've made loads from it.

Any of Fay Ripley's books are great for day-to-day cooking, I was a bit Hmm but she's great and DS (who is fussy) enjoys picking recipes to try. Nothing complex, just everyday dinners.

The 5 book is not Jamie's best - and I'm a huge fan. The recipes work really well, but usually need a couple of more things added to them - like the chicken pot pie is bulletproof but I add stock/creme fraiche and more veg to the sauce. Which kind of defeats the point!

Nigel Slater's earlier books is a great recommendation.
