Going to order a takeaway but fancy trying something other than my usual biryani or rogan josh.

I like medium heat. What are your favourites?

Lamb Kayli, I think that's how it's spelled

cookiechomper · 25/05/2019 18:32

Chicken chaat with puri as a starter, peshwari naan bread, Lamb jalfrezi, tandoori lamb chops, chicken sashlik.

IHeartKingThistle · 25/05/2019 18:33

Lamb Korai

FurryDogMother · 25/05/2019 18:35

Chicken tikka pathia, or chicken tikka dhansak. Sheekh kebab starter. Tarka daal (but not if I'm having dhansak). Saag aloo. Keema paratha.

SallyWD · 25/05/2019 18:36

We get
Chicken dhansak or lamb bhuna and a north Indian chilli garlic chicken with pilau rice and peshwari naan and have a bit of everything. Lamb bhuna is my absolute favourite.

foodenvy · 25/05/2019 19:01

Thanks for the suggestions, have had dansak and dupiaza in the past and like them.
Going to try a lamb bhuna with sag aloo. DH is out so waiting to get DC to bed so I can have it in peace! Smile

Get a lamb passanda. They are delish!

SimonJT · 25/05/2019 19:14

A machoosi is quite good, it’s an african dish but it should be available if the restaurant has a Bangladeshi chef.

farfromhome24 · 25/05/2019 19:37

Try chicken shashlik or a jalfrezi, it's delish!

MindyMoonstone · 25/05/2019 20:13

Let us know how it was!! 😁

foodenvy · 25/05/2019 23:01

The food was lovely apart from the nan bread, got a cheese and garlic one but it tasted quite sweet.
Fab other than that. Bottle of wine to go with it although surprisingly sober which is lucky because DH arrived home hammered with a kebab in hand 😂

Cheese naan sounds awful!

Good job one of you had your wits eh 😂😂

Stravapalava · 27/05/2019 20:22

I know you've had it now, but I can recommend a chicken or lamb saag for next time. The south indian coconutty curries are nice too.
