. . . that instead of faffing about peeling & chopping carrots, swede et al I could have just made ds weaning purees from bags in the freezer?

Most veg doesn't freeze very well. Peas are the main success story.

It always tastes watery when it's been defrosted and seems to destroy the structure of the veg.
