If I was to make hand pies, can I freeze them?

Just as that really, found some recipes for hand pies but would like to make extra and freeze them. Can I freeze them and if so, how long do you think I can get away with keeping it in the freezer for?

TIA

do you have a glut of hands?

Grin I just looked them up... hopefully the pic is attached! They look delicious- can be sweet or savoury, a US or Canadian thing, I think.

Yes to freezing. They should be fine for a couple of months, I think. What are you planning on putting in them?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 21/05/2019 19:40

They're pasties.

What goes inside a hand pie? I’m hoping not hands

They’re like pasties but don’t always come in a semi-lunar shape. You can make square, rectangular or circular shaped hand pies.

@RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie I’ve done chicken and mushroom before but I’m thinking of trying out apple and raspberry and blueberry and goats cheese hand pies.

Think you can make square or rectangular pasties. They are pasties. Or possibly turnovers if they contain fruit.

Wishiwascrafty · 22/05/2019 12:16

Unhelpful but blueberry and goats cheese sounds amazing. Do you have a recipe?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 23/05/2019 19:49

They're pasties - really they are.

Anyhow, I do them with frozen blueberries, a dollop of cream cheese and a bit of icing sugar. They are lovely. I haven't frozen them before, but I'm sure they'd be fine.
