Next weekend is a significant birthday for my MIL and the whole family is going away to celebrate it.
Last time we did something similar I took along my 2 sure-fire cakes that always get a good reception (orange & white chocolate sponge and cherry bakewell cake - both from bbc good food) and they went down really well.
I want to do the same again but haven't been baking for a while so was hoping I could get some inspiration here!
BBC good food is my go to. I'm a decent baker but won't have time to practice anything before I make them on thursday. Not fussed about fancy decorations, just want something that looks nice and tastes amazing.
