I can refrain from stuffing my face in the day but of an evening when the kids are in bed and I'm relaxing I stuff my fave with all kinds of unhealthy rubbish .

What are your go to healthy snacks and ideas ?

Why do you have rubbish in the house on the first place?
You don’t need snacking. Allow yourself an apple or pear after dinner if you really need it but at the condition you will eat it while sitting at a table with plate and knife. It is an habit you need to get rid of, not hunger.

I dunk strips of red pepper in soy sauce, and carrots in hummus. Corn on the cob (put in a pan of boiling water and bring back to the boil, that's all the cooking it needs) with lime juice and salt instead of butter. Boiled eggs with salt and pepper.

What sorts of things are you having at the moment?

In the evenings I will quite often have a bowl of Greek yoghurt with some fresh fruit - normally berries - but sometimes with some mango, pineapple, papaya too - the yoghurt works for me as the protein is good for being filling (plus a great source of calcium( , the creamy texture makes it feel like a treat and then the fruit adds a little sweetness - and helps me get some of my 5 a day

Frozen grapes are good - they take a while to eat
Banana "ice" cream
Roasted spiced chickpeas

Some great ideas there . Thank you

I do think I eat in the evenings out of boredom and because it's there but then when there isn't rubbish in the cupboards to eat I get grumpy.

Plus we get cake bars , crisps in for the children for a treat

Sprout your own chickpeas, they're very moorish!

My favourites are dried fruits! But so bored of the common ones. I tired a new snack at Wholefoods last week, it was a chocolate coated dried red dates. Recommend that, especially if you have sweet tooth!! - and was healthy!
