I'm making curried chicken casserole in the slow cooker . Just bunged it all in and hoping for the best for later. I've made chicken casserole before but fancied something different so I've added curry powder in so we will see how it turns out 😂

Italian Chicken sausages with grilled halloumi, salad and pitta breads

BentBaastard · 01/05/2019 09:25

Ds1 and I are having sea bass
Ds2 is having fishfingers 🥴🥴
Dh is eating something vegetarian.

Might do sea bass with sautéed potatoes and carrots

Youngandfree · 01/05/2019 09:25

Fish cakes, potato wedges, broccoli, green beans, carrots and a sauce of some kind that I haven’t decided on yet 😂

downcasteyes · 01/05/2019 09:26

I am only mentioning this because it is the most hilariously middle class meal ever and so Mumsnet it's untrue. I actually don't eat like this all the time, I promise.

I am having PUY LENTIL SALAD (not any old lentils, dahling, puy ) with tomatoes and spinach and green olives in it, with FRESHLY HARVESTED ORGANIC ASPARAGUS FROM MY ALLOTMENT ( Grin ) with a bit of WILTED WILD GARLIC and hollandaise sauce. Then I'm having ALLOTMENT ORGANIC RHUBARB and organic locally made yoghurt.

Before you all spit at me for the total wanky pretentiousness of this, yesterday I had oven chips and baked beans with veggie sausages. Grin

Omelette

HalfBloodPrincess · 01/05/2019 15:19

I’m sending ds to the kebab shop as soon as it opens at 5pm - I’m 8.5 month pregnant and need a massive chicken fillet burger with a pile of deep fried salty chips smothered in mayo.

lahdeedah2019 · 01/05/2019 15:22

@halfbloodprincess that sounds like my kind of meal

Spaghetti with meatballs, then fruit fool for pudding. Wine Wine

HavelockVetinari · 01/05/2019 15:26

Chicken breasts marinaded in bbq sauce, baked in the oven with cheese on top. Served with roasted new potatoes and broccoli. A bit boring compared to some of your ideas Sad

Peridot1 · 01/05/2019 15:33

Cajun Dirty Rice from Pinch of Nom cookbook. First recipe I will have tried as only got it at the weekend.

Downcasteyes - I like both of your menus! It’s all about balance. But yes today’s is def pretentious! In the nicest possible way of course!

Havelock - yours sounds nice and something my ever so fussy DS might actually eat!

purplecorkheart · 01/05/2019 17:59

Roast pork, roast potatoes and roast veg. We have a residence association meeting so it can cook while we are at it.

Clutterbugsmum · 01/05/2019 18:15

Pea, Bacon Pasta. It's quick and easy as it's one of those nights where other things are happening.

lahdeedah2019 · 01/05/2019 19:00

PorpentinaScamander · 01/05/2019 19:08

Spinach and ricotta canelloni. It's a lazy microwave meal but I love it and I'm lazy Grin

Grumpbum123 · 01/05/2019 19:09

Jacket potatoes with beans and cheese

ArabellaPilkington · 01/05/2019 19:11

BBQ Cajun chicken kebabs, pasta and salad Confused

Weird combo but all got eaten!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 01/05/2019 19:12

Downcast Grin

A shove it in the roasting dish recipe - new potatoes, halloumi and asparagus, with garlic, lemon and basil. It smells lovely and I'm looking forward to it.

lahdeedah2019 · 01/05/2019 19:16

I've never had halloumi . Been meaning to try it for ages !

Grump . Can't beat a baked potato with cheese and beans !
