Favourite weekend family dinner?

I say weekend because I have more time to do something that requires a bit more effort. Or are a bit more faffy to eat.

What are your family's favourites?

So my girls love tacos & fajitas, so I may do one of those tonight, but also fancy trying something different Smile

In celebration of the arrival summer tonight we are having proper tuna nicois. Tuna steak, perfect (hopefully) boiled eggs so yolks just set, crisp green beans, leaves, probably celery and spring onion because they make any salad better. Olives and sour dough croutons for those who want. Also the little balsamic pearls from Waitrose which are a bit of a luxury but hey the sun hasn’t been shining like this for ages. This is my absolute favourite. Probably not everyone’s but always goes down well here. (Don’t slate me for wavering from traditional nicois, I just make it the way I like it!)

Also make home made, baked butternut squash and sweet potato falafels, serve in pita bread with a yoghurt dressing.

Chicken breasts stuffed with garlic Philadelphia, wrapped in prosciutto. Baked with Doritos salsa. Served with roasted herby baby new potatoes and loads of veg.

Lasagne is a weekend meal for us because of the faff of the white sauce, tomato sauce, mince etc...
Quiche (takes time to blind bake!)
Toad in the hole with onion gravy
Chilli con carne
Homemade burgers
Moussaka
Fish pie
Spag Bol (all that chopping!!)
