Pooing at the crack of dawn - AARGH!

Please help me structure ds2's meals before I totally disintegrate from lack of sleep.

He's got a tendency to poo at about 5/5.30am, but is restless and sleepless for about an hour beforehand. Which is soooo great after a night of feeding 1-2-hourly [gritted teeth emoticon]. I have the feeling that he tends to do this - the pooing - when he has had more fruit and roughagy stuff in the second half of the day, so I'm trying to give him roughagy-type meals at lunchtime and non-roughagy-type meals for supper. But I'm running out of ideas. I don't want to give him meat every night, nor cheese (as he might have had that at lunchtime or snack).

Any ideas what sort of suppers I can give him? He's 9m.

I hear you on this one. My little one has also suffered (or should i say we?) from the early morning pooing. Very hard to get them back to sleep afterwards when its sooooo much more fun to be awake (for them that is!

Ive found that any sort of pasta dishes, spag bol, spinach and cheese canneloni, lasagne etc seem to bung my little one up until after her morning milk. As an added bonus, a pasta/carb meal fills her up for longer and makes her sleepy.

Perhaps someone else has other suggestions?

Take care
