When your soon to be 8yo DS requests a heavy metal pug cake!!! (Because his 14yo DB loves Slipknot so he does too, but he's 8 so he also loves pugs!) How did I do? The blob at the bottom is where the 8 candle will go.

Been redirected here cos I'm not a regular poster and just shoved it in parenting! 🤷‍♀️

That looks like the pug image was printed on a sheet of icing (your local cake supplies store might be able to print an image of you provide, or you can order online at ebay and specialist shops) and the heavy metal bits were made out of black fondant and applied on top of the pug. Looks like they've used a silver edible marker pen or those little silver balls for the studs.

You did brilliant! I also thought you must have got an edible print of the pug.

You've done it really well and I think you must be very pleased!

Thank you folks! Metallica Bichon Frise! 😂😂😂. Yes I did buy a pug topper to embellish with Slipknot make up etc as I am no pro! In fact my mum usually makes my boys cakes but she is on holiday this year. My DS knows mum is doing the cake this year so it won't be as good as usual!!!! And my mum knows not to go away in April again! 😂😂😂
