Cake stand for a 3 tier cake

I need a nice cake stand but am worried about weight - this would be for a 3 tier chocolate wedding cake (the Mary Berry recipe) with cakes 30cm, 23cm, 15cm. The stands I can see on ebay etc that look appropriately pretty also look a bit insubstantial - would something like this just fall over with a cake like that on it? As you can tell I'm a complete novice. Am I missing something - what would people usually use? Thanks.

I'd avoid anything like that to be fair, you need something flat in my opinion. You'll be surprised by the weight of the cakes with stacked. I favour a wooden block, I have a log slice which works very well

Many thanks - I'd suspected the ones with a pedestal would be a bit risky. That wooden one is nice.

I know this is in Australia but it was just to give you and idea of a stand for a tiered cake.

You can use a pedestal one but it would have to be fairly big to be able to support a tiered cake securely.
