Good brownie recipe

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good brownie recipe?

I tried this one last week and it failed miserably:

I didn't have any brown sugar so used all white and possibly think I used the wrong tin to bake them in. They just wouldn't set, the edges were burning but the middle was really wobbly.

Brownies aren't meant to set in the oven. They should be soft and will firm up on cooling.
I think you over-baked them.
It's not a good idea to change recipe [sugar/tin size etc] if you are a novice.

These are amazing. As previous poster said stick to the recipe and let them cool and then set in the fridge before slicing.

The very best brownie resioe I have is the Linda McCartney recipe for green and blacks. I'll see if in can find a link. I don't put the cherries in.

After years of avoiding making brownies I have discovered Mary Berry’s Easy CB recipe. I also read that when they are cooked the inside should be squidgy - none of this clean knife business.
I’ve made them a lot and take out after 35
Mins then leave to cool.

Just discovered this recipe and it's amazing.

Use drinking chocolate instead of cocoa and half the sugar stated.

Double the recipe and bake in a small deep pan.

DON'T over mix as that will make them too cakey.

Get them out of the oven when they are barely cooked. Use baking paper and hang it over the sides of the pan so you can easily lift them out to cool. They over cook if left in the pan. Then put in the fridge.

Betty Crockers chocolate frosting on top and Bob's your uncle. Yum!

I make these often and always get compliments about them. Used this for years as it's also very very easy!

I often don't use raspberries and like others said go with almost under cooking for squidgy brownies. I add chocolate chips or chunks sometimes or blueberries.

Meant to add that I barely use any salt in the recipe let alone what it stayed!

I tried the bbc good food, best ever brownies. I liked the idea of the different types of chocolate in them.

They turned out pretty good. Possibly a little soft in the middle in places but they taste really nice, so definitely a better attempt than my last ones!

I gave up on brownies after lots of recipe fails and , to my horror, now swear by the Ghirardelli mix from Costco. £8 for four packets so £2 a go, plus the cost of 75ml of veg oil and an egg. That less than the cost of the butter you need for some recipes and they are really nice. We made two batches this morning!

The Costco mix is amazing!!
