Frivolous but necessary: I am on a quest for good drinking chocolate. Spring has turned to winter where I'm living and I need this stuff badly Brew

Tried green & blacks - ok
Clipper Super cosy - very nice but my sainsburys have stopped selling it Confused Just bought Taste the Difference milk hot chocolate - disappointing ..

Anyone know any brands that taste lovely and are not full of emulsifiers?
thanksSmile

Whittards. I love their white hot chocolate 😍

Buy a bar of nice dark choc. Grate 2 or 3 tbs into a mug. Pour a small amount of hot water to melt it. Heat up 200mls of milk and pour on whilst stirring. Delicious.

When I used to eat dairy I used to put a big dollop of nutella in a mug and then add some hot milk. Stir until nutella has melted and it was devine!

Use actual chocolate melted in warm milk. Add a pinch of chilli powder too.

Plain cocoa powder and milk (and a little sugar!) is what we have here... best ever.
I mix up the sugar and cocoa in a few drops/a splash of boiling water first to ensure mixes properly, add milk, then microwave (or hob).

Hotel Chocolat salted caramel, it's actual chocolate shavings. Divine 😍

notacooldad · 14/04/2019 23:29

Weve just had or hot chocolate.
We use Charbonnel et Walker.
Dp and Ds had cream and chipotle flakes on theirs!
Mine was apparently nude, according to them!

I don’t think they stock it year round, but Lidl do a luxury hit chocolate in a tin, which is little chocolate chips that you melt in milk, and is one of the nicest I have tried, not very sweet, which is my preference

hotchocdrinker · 18/04/2019 17:44

As my username suggests, I am quite keen on hot chocolate. I don't drink tea or coffee so it's the only hot drink I have. This is my absolute favourite: www.waitrose.com/ecom/products/charbonnel-walker-the-chocolate-drink-original/394896-145456-145457?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI_4uKiova4QIV7LXtCh0vmAp9EAQYASABEgIY0vD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
