Hello,
I am looking for ideas to make my own potato chips at home. I am tired to eat the ones from the supermarket.

Any ideas on what can I make at home that is still crispy and tasty?

Chips or crisps?

For chips -
Cut into chip shape and boil for 5-10 mins, meanwhile heat oil in pan in hot oven.
Drain potatoes and add to the oil. Cook for about 20 mins. Sprinkle fresh rosemary on them towards the end.

I do much like Goatrider, but with a slight variation. I drain the parboiled chips, allow them to dry for a few minutes in the saucepan and then give them a shake to rough up the edges. Then I drizzle over about half a tablespoon of rapeseed oil and toss them gently with a wooden spatula. Then they're put on a HOT metal tray and shoved in the oven for about 30 minutes. I'm limiting the amount of oil I use for health reasons, but if you wanted them with even less oil, I've done them with frylight and whilst that's not as good as the rapeseed oil (not as crisp), it's perfectly acceptable.

I do as above but I add salt and paprika to mine. Sometimes some chilli flakes Grin. Trick to crispy is the dry and shake before they go in.

paprika sounds lovely....

sweet potato chips or butternut squash chips are both lovely as well

Now I want chips...

Sweet paprika or piri piri seasoning are also nice. And, yes to the shaking. It's really like roast potatoes, but a different shape.
