How do you store your potatoes?

I'm struggling to keep them from sprouting.

I had them in a kitchen cupboard and that didn't work, they're now in the cupboard under the stairs in a paper sack with holes in it. Not any better. I thought dark, cool and out of plastic was all they needed.

They will sprout now as this is the time of year that potatoes sprout.

Buy smaller numbers and keep using them to prevent them from hanging around. Once this year's crop are harvested and out for sale they will keep longer.

Ah ok! Thank you for that knowledge

I've only recently started cooking more regularly with potatoes. And trying to find places to buy decent fruit and veg that is loose is a challenge.
