Would you use out of date beef?

I'm meant to be doing Yorkshire pudding wraps tonight but the beef has a use by date of 29th march (2 days past) 😫 it is cooked sliced deli beef in a sealed packet, so...would you still use it? It looks fine and I'll smell it when I open the pack but gonna be pretty gutted to throw it away

I'm pretty cavalier about dates on most things but I wouldn't eat that.

DramaAlpaca · 31/03/2019 16:23

Beef just two days over? As long as it's still sealed, has been kept in the fridge & smells fine I'd eat it without a second thought.

Stargirl90 · 31/03/2019 16:37

Ah so torn on what to do

Eat it.

Shadow01 · 31/03/2019 17:15

Smell it, then if it hasn’t changed texture it’s fine.

jiggsymalone · 31/03/2019 17:16

If it smells ok I would eat it.

Stargirl90 · 31/03/2019 17:18

It looks and smells like normal, it's been in the fridge and sealed so i think i will go for it, thanks everyone

I second what DramaAlpaca said.

Orchidflower1 · 31/03/2019 17:49

I wouldn’t.

Bagpuss5 · 31/03/2019 17:51

As it is cooked, and presuming it smells ok I would use it.

Disfordarkchocolate · 31/03/2019 17:51

I'd heat it in gravy and then eat it.

Stargirl90 · 31/03/2019 18:05

The plan is to heat it with gravy like someone said 😊

Fere · 01/04/2019 23:45

I'd eat it if it smells OK to you
