Help! Can I save my nut brittle?

Thought I'd give not brittle a go to top a cake I've made. Cake looks great but it seems I'm not great at sugar!

Basically I've ended up with nuts coated in partially dissolved sugar... Is there anything I can do or just chalk it up to experience?
