I've got about 6 large slices of good quality ham that needs using up. DC unilaterally declared they don't like it in sandwiches anymore Angry

Too soon!

Does anyone have any recipes or ideas for how I can use it up?? I can only think of chopping it up into a creamy pea / ham pasta....

Add it to pea soup?

Chicken wrapped in ham with garlic butter.
Ham and mushroom everything.

Pork or chicken saltimbocca - batten out the meat, secure the ham and ideally a sage leaf to it with a cocktail stick, fry in butter until cooked, then squeeze over some lemon. Serve with veg or salad and the pan juices.

Twist on your pasta idea - chop it into a pasta bake with a blue cheese sauce and some blanched broccoli

If it's thick cut, chop it into a risotto (though actually, would be fine even if it was thinner IMO)

Check whether the sandwich ban extends to wraps and toasties - I love a wrap made with ham, cream cheese and salad, and ham and cheese toasties are clearly food of the gods

Egg muffins: Use slices of ham to line an oiled muffin tin, then fill with eggs and veggies (eggs either cracked in whole on top of the cheese/veg, or all mixed together like omelette), bake until the egg is set.

Cheaty tortilla: Fry an onion in an oven-proof frying pan. Chop up the ham with with any leftover veg (bits of cooked new potato are especially good) and cheese, mix with egg, stir in the fried onion, return the lot to the pan and bake in the oven until it's all set.

Croque monsieur. Make a good thick cheese sauce and get some crusty bread layer ham on bread top with sauce and grill till top gets that cheesey char to it

Wrap it round blanched chicory or leek or celery heart: cover in cheese sauce and bake: serve with bread.

Twice baked spuds? Bake jackets, scoop out the middle and mash with butter and/or cream cheese, stir in cheddar and the chopped up ham. Put it bake into the potato skins (top with more cheddar - I mean wtf not!) and bake for another 10 mins or so

The bastards also dont like eggs or grilled cheese on anything - I mean, who raised them, weirdos.

Anyway, there's some great suggestions in there thanks everyone.

1 banana per slice of ham, mustard and cheese sauce:
Peel banana, spread mustard on ham, roll banana up in ham, place in baking dish, cover in cheese sauce plus grated cheese (with oats or breadcrumbs if you like) bake in oven for 30 minutes or so, until browned. Serve with green veg or salad or roasted red peppers and baby tomatoes.
Sounds vile, but is tasty and "different".
