What can I make and store that's savoury and snacky. Doesn't need to be really healthy.

Pregnant and fed up of eating food that comes out a wrapper for a snack.
Happy and comfortable cooking so any suggestions welcome. Can share a special recipe if you have one other wise just throw a name out there or an idea out there for me

Thank you so much

Carrot sticks and peanut butter or apple and cheese were my go to snacks!

Or a handful of nuts-buy raw in bulk and then toast in oven, can add spices too if you like.

Cheese biscuits.

Get a naice ham, some cheese and crackers. I like to mix mustard mayo to go with but you can lubricate with whatever you like (chutney, pickle etc).

One of my favourite tv snacks 🤤

Heat pumpkin seeds over low medium heat in a dry frypan for a couple of minutes. Tip over 1-2 tablespoons soy sauce and tip into dish to cool. Super yummy

Samosas. Yum

Roasted chickpeas, tosswith spices of your choice, spread on baking tray and spray with oil then bake till crunchy.

Baked spring rolls. I make them after I’ve made a stir fry and use the leftover veg as my filling. Wrap in filo, spray with oil and bake. Very tasty and a lot healthier that their deep fried friends!

To buy (no work required):
Nuts
Crisps
Habas Fritas
Giant corn
Popcorn (when I was pregnant I would eat popcorn and a lump of cheddar, bliss)

Minor prep:
Hummus and crudites
Chipolatas and tomatoes
Oatcakes and cheese

Was just coming on to suggest the sunflower seeds @Rainbowqueeen mentioned. So good!

SnailorSwift · 05/03/2019 21:20

Pumpkin/sunflower either work.
