Birthday Cake suggestions

Hello all,

It's my mum's 60th next week and I would like to bake her a cake.

I'm a confident baker and only limitation is no chocolate cake! I'd like to do something that is impressive-looking but also tastes lovely!

Can anyone help with suggestions or recipes? Thanks so much

What about a lemon sponge cake? You could cover it in lemon butter cream on its own or if you’re up to it you could then cover in sugar paste?

What are her favourite flavours?
Which types of cakes does she like to eat?

Can you narrow it down a bit!
