Help - advice needed and gratefully received.

What do I make that can be transported in a car? That adults and children will like? Not sure about the food preferences of the children. Chocolate brownies been done to death.

Is chocolate mousse very boring?

A tart! Bakewell, lemon, treacle, gypsy, coconut...best thing ever! Choc mousse is lovely but a bit boring - maybe less boring with some homemade shortbread? Homemade cookies and ice cream - the kids will love you!

Pavlova
I would make the meringue, then take a pot of custard and fruit and assemble there. Custard and pavlova - is that a thing? Weird!

Delia’s Key Lime pie is lovely with cream and berries. It’s hard to go wrong with any kind of cheesecake though: easy to make and home made is so superior.

Fruit custard is a wonderful dessert you can bring to potluck!
This is a very easy recipe I always make.

Lemon posset with a ginger base?

Bread & butter pudding, cook at home, cover with foil, put in insulated bag, take cream or custard to pour over. If adults only, add some booze to the egg mixture.
