Leftover homemade cheese sauce

Made macaroni cheese at weekend, ended up with loads of sauce left.

Apart from cauliflower cheese, what can I make with it?

Freeze it!
Sauce layers in lasagne,

dementedpixie · 18/02/2019 19:34

I freeze it and then use it in the future. Lasagne?

Nix32 · 18/02/2019 19:41

Love it over hard boiled eggs and toast.

Sinead100 · 18/02/2019 20:06

Freeze it in portions!

Cheesy leeks. Food heaven! Slice them thinly, Chuck in dish, cover with sauce, bake. Eat! Mmmmm.

If its anything like my DH's cheese sauce, eat it with a spoon.

halfwitpicker · 18/02/2019 21:08

Omelette Arnold Bennett - smoked haddock omelette with a cheese sauce on top.

Yes to freezing it, then there's loads of possibilities, cheesy leeks sound ace though!

AdaColeman · 18/02/2019 21:32

Use it up in moussaka.

Serve with sausages in hotdog buns and fried onions.

I know it's too late now but I would have cooked up some more macaroni and frozen the whole dish

So... For anyone interested I used my leftover béchamel sauce!

I made stuffed peppers, filled with Bolognese sauce, topped with the béchamel and then baked. It was really good!

Name changed since I started the thread, BTW Grin
