Slow cooker recommendations

I’ve been reading about the wonders of slow cookers. I guess I’m a bit late to it Not sure which one is best. Any recommendations?

Think about the size you need, and whether you want programmable start times etc. I've just got the basic John Lewis one and it's fine.

DP is currently in London and I’m abroad. He will be coming in two weeks time. Not sure if he can bring it back with him?
