So...as we grow older it’s important we eat right, yes? More oily fish, calcium, foods that protects us from osteoporosis etc.
I eat fresh salmon every so often, but find the easier/cheaper way of eating oily fish is via cans. Tinned tuna is not the same btw in that for this purpose fresh is better. Salmon is just as good for you whether fresh or tinned, and it doesn’t matter if it’s the more expensive red version or the cheaper pink version, though with bones and skin gives more calcium.
My first foray into tinned salmon was from Aldi. I got out my trusty magican....but 10 minutes later was still struggling to get it open. I did eventually, after ditching the can opener and using a serrated knife and a pair of kitchen scissors. There was much swearing and blood loss, and everything smelt of fish. I was not a happy bunny

I have since bought tinned salmon from 3 other supermarkets, and although my technique has improved to the point there is no blood loss, it still requires way more effort/tools than I believe is/are necessary.
No point writing to the supermarkets or manufacturers as they are all the same. Tinned tuna, in comparison, is a piece of piss.
I didn’t think I was a stupid person, but what am I doing wrong???
