Family dinner idea help

In laws are babysitting Sat night and DH has invited them to join us for dinner before we go out. I want something quick and easy, that won’t create loads of pots before we have to get ready to go out. Ruled out anything too stodgy or garlicky as I would prefer not to have to worry about it while out. Ideally something that both dc will eat soo, age 3 and 5. Must be something!

Lasagna, prepare it the day before or in that morning and get all the prep dishes cleared away. Then you've only got the baking dish and plates to deal with after the meal.

DH should be involved, as he invited them! Wine

Any tray bake - lasagna, shepherds pie, Spanish and potatoes bravas, or a stew/casserole one pot dish - you can clear away long before they come and serve with salad/green veg.

I have a Gusto subscription, each week I have over 20 meals to chose from. I click the ones I want and the fresh ingredients get delivered to my door on my preferred day. The box include recipe cards and exact measured ingredients for each meal you have picked. The cards are so easy to follow and all you have to do is snip and add most of the pre weighed out ingredients. My children love each meal we have had so far and my 13 year old has even cooked one of the meals himself. I now no longer have to meal plan or do a big weekly shop. I have no food waste and am not tempted by those supermarket deals that always bump up your bill. If you want to try a box yourself then follow my referral link to get 60% off your first box and 30% off your next two. If you join up can you please add to this thread. After each person has three referrals in the week we can swap the referral link code so we can all benefit from referring new members. Let me know how you get on. If its easier you can go straight to the gusto site yourself and enter GINA19992974 in the referral section.
