Sitting here with my third slice of obscenely buttery toast and Marmite, I'm driven to wonder (I have very little else to do, folks) what other Mumsnetters are quietly scoffing while the darlings are unconscious....or are you all size eight(not that there's anything wrong with that...I just prefer my marmite and toast)

I'm getting the Minstrels...but the Lady Grey tea is more likely to be substituted for merlot here at the bad parenting institute!

sultana branflakes - the sugar content is actually huge and then twiglets with rose wine.
if i have it in digestives with cheddar and golden syrup and a glass of milk!!!

jaynehater · 03/07/2007 22:43

And, fairybeliever, what exactly is wrong with Marmite? Do I have to spread the gospel to you? Firmly LOVE Marmite at Casa Jaynehater!! (Not hating swiss roll, mind you...any calorie considered without bias here)

I've just polished off a tub of Bailey's Haagen Daaz.

kiskidee · 03/07/2007 22:48

i don't know what it will be yet but i am getting peckish.

jaynehater · 03/07/2007 22:49

LuckyLady74 are you my mother in law? I refuse to believe more than two people pair cheddar with syrup and digestives? If you are actually Fay, leave me alone, I'll have Mumsnet, you have the Bad Mothers Club, no fair!! If you're not, I've got a number for someone with equally unique supper menus!!!

ewwww...even the word marmite..can hardly spell it without heaving (sorry)...and all my children love it....and it stinks, and it stinks for ages even when its put in the back of the cupboard with me hoping they will just forget it ever exsisted....but they never do..and then they get it out and it starts all over again........and then i come on here...thinking i am safe at night time with everything and everyone tucked up in beds and cupboards and i see the word again................i'm melting..i am meltin.meltinggggggg

nah, don't like it.

jaynehater · 03/07/2007 22:59

I suppose Bovril is off limits too?

OP posts:
Idobelieveinfairies · 03/07/2007 23:00

Well actually never tried 'Bovril' as it looks like marmite...but i did like bovril crisps.

Should try it really, but not as brave as i used to be.

Is it similar to the crisps or marmite?

Ulysees · 03/07/2007 23:02

Just come from my development (psychic) group and every week a lady bakes fab cakes for us, I took a piece home and have just eaten it. Second slice of homemade cake I've had today as mate brought some round earlier.

Idobelieveinfairies · 03/07/2007 23:05

mmm..cake -homemade cake-you lucky thing.

Rub that belly chuckling..rub the belly...

jaynehater · 03/07/2007 23:09

Admittedly, Bovril requires more bravery than M?%*& (hope that assists your delicate sensibilities, fairy-girl) I think it's quite like the crisps. Sadly for my thighs, my mind has now wandered in the direction of the streaky bacon rashery things DH keeps a constant supply of ... it's your fault, you brought up crisps

OP posts:
jaynehater · 03/07/2007 23:11

I'm actually a bit worried now that LuckyLady74 IS my mother-in-law, and I've p'd her off by dismissing her from 'my' site. More crisps.

OP posts:
Idobelieveinfairies · 03/07/2007 23:14

[email protected] them crisps, i am off to bed to dream of food.........and to think evil marmite thoughts.............

[waves]

jaynehater · 03/07/2007 23:17

[blows streaky bacon kiss, and waddles bedward also]

luckylady74 · 03/07/2007 23:35

not your mil, but feel the need to confess to weetabix with jam and marg to see if she likes it too!

jaynehater · 03/07/2007 23:39

Getting a little spooked now. Do you eat sardines in tomato sauce on toast, with grilled cheese? If you do, you have a lost twin in Angus who could validate your avant-garde tastes!!

OP posts:
jaynehater · 03/07/2007 23:40

And no, I didn't lie about toddling off to bed - I took me computer with me!

OP posts:
AbRoller · 03/07/2007 23:41

I shouldn't have come here but I was curious and I don't care now....if you're all eating, I'm going to.

Thanks!

luckylady74 · 03/07/2007 23:43

no that's disgusting
