Brown rice (bought from a well known supermarket last week) rinsed, boiled, rinsed and quickly cooked and stored in the fridge. Is this mould? Are we going to get sick?

Dunno but I wouldn't eat it.

You have to be very careful with reheating brown rice, I was once sick as a dog from it.

We do it really regularly for work lunches and I've never had this problem. I know you have to be careful cooling it quickly and storing it properly.

If its appeared since you put it in the fridge, I'd bin it. I've never known (white) rice do that in over a decade of storing it in the fridge.

I once heard (don't know if it's true) that it's better not to store cooked rice but to eat it directly. Something about bacteria that stay alive on the rice and multiply when it cools. I don't remember the whole story tbh.
