Anybody done venison with white wine instead of red?

Usually with any kind of venison I would always use red wine as the main liquid, but I was wondering if anyone had tried it with white - I've started using white with lamb now and much prefer it... I've got a kilo of diced venison and any suggested recipe would be wonderful; I'm loathe to waste such a nice meat on something that tastes horrible!
