Batch cooking

Hi can anyone give me some ideas of family meals that I can batch cook? I am due a baby and wanted to get some meals put away to make life easier and so that we are still eating healthily!

My ideas so far are cottage pie and lasagne! 🙈 I am not sure what else is easy to premake?

I was thinking perhaps some chicken in sauce type meals? Then served with rice which I can cook fresh on the day?

Congratulations! I'm also due in a couple of months and I'm also looking for ideas. So far I'm planning to batch cook spaghetti bolognese sauce, chilli con carne and chicken curry. But yes more inspiration needed!

Thanks everyone for the inspiration! I didn't realise you could freeze a pasta bake! That will be a good one to do!

I am a bit fussy and don't like spicy food but the other ones sounds really lovely and a few things we haven't had before either to give a go!

My sons are both diabetic so everything has to be carb counted so thinking this will be the easiest way to do it beforehand so that I'm not stressing out with a fussing baby (as it always seems to be early evening!) and trying to add everything up as I go along as I normally do! Need to get more organised!! One more week of work before I start maternity and then I have a couple of weeks to get organised 💪🏼

Check out the slow cooker bag thing...
You freezer uncooked ingredients, pull one out the night before to defrost and then just cook it the next day.
