Heinz mayonnaise - is it meant to taste like salad cream?!

I normally buy Hellman's mayonnaise. Bought Heinz from B&M and it tastes like salad cream, all vinegary! The bottle definitely says Mayonnaise. Is it meant to taste like that or have they put salad cream in the wrong bottle?!
I like both with the right food but mayo should taste creamy, not exactly like salad cream!

That's why I buy Hellman's! The Heinz stuff has an awful pasty texture and is too vinegary.

I'm a bit of a mayonnaise connoisseur and I don't like Heinz. It's just not mayonnaisey enough 😂

I wouldn't mind the extra vinegar - I spend half the week in Germany, the mayonnaise their is so sweet it makes my teeth ache.

I don't like the Heinz one either. Hellmans will do at a push but for me, the best mayo comes from polish shops.

Heinz mayonnaise is just the worst, tangy, awful stuff. It's so annoying that all the takeaways and chillies seem to have deals with Heinz these days, all their sauces (other than ketchup) are rank. Hellmans is so much better imo.

I always used to buy Hellmans mayonnaise, until I decided to try Aldi's own. It's far nicer IMO. Now that I'm used to the Aldi version I find Hellmans too vinegary. Bonus that it's far cheaper too.

It tastes nothing like salad cream, I love salad cream but Heinz mayo is awful. Hellmans is pretty awful too, bland and gloopy. The French style ones are much nicer.

I don't like salad cream and find the Heinz Mayonnaise awful. I'm not really too fussy about food but mayonnaise I am. I love Hellman's original and so far I've found 1 supermarket own brand that I enjoy.

I bought the Heinz stuff by mistake (usually buy Hellman’s) and ended up chucking it - something I never do with food! I didn’t think it was like salad cream, but it was just grim.
