I am hosting today. I did my shopping on Sunday and stupidly forgot to check the dates on the chipolatas. Got pigs in blankets which are fine but the chipolatas to be used by 24/12. Should I bin or will they be fine if cooked well?

I wouldn't use them

Strugglingonagain · 26/12/2018 09:33

I wouldn't. Especially if you have guests

Do they smell? Are they an odd colour? If neither, then I probably would.

I'd use them - 2 days is fine - as long as they look ok and smell fine.

Fantasisa · 26/12/2018 09:45

Definitely use them!

If they've been on the fridge and wrapped securely and don't smell yes. I generally wouldn't eat anything more than three days over and have never been ill

If they smell, then yes, chuck in bin. But I would think they’ll be just fine.

Wrapped up, look and smell ok. Apart from chicken I usually go 2-3 days over if smell and look ok. Thank you!
