1.5kg of cabbage

Just making my red cabbage for tomorrow. Recipe calls for 1.5kg if cabbage. Is this pre-cored do you think?
2 cabbages were 1.5kg, but now that they have been trimmed and cored there is 1kg. I have another cabbage if need be..

I think it’s before removing heart. That’s quite a lot of cabbage. I generally use one large cabbage per 8 people as you only have a small amount with all the other vegetables.

I think what you have prepared will be fine, it's still a lot of cabbage, and people don't eat huge portions of red cabbage.
For recipes like this, an approximation will be fine, its not like, say sponge cake where weight and ratio are really important.

Thanks. I use the same recipe each year so no idea why I’m doubting myself now.
It freezes and reheats well, so although it does make loads we have it for weeks.
