I usually make my own shortcrust, but have been very pushed for time this week, so I bought Jus-Rol ready rolled sheets as they were on offer. Omg, they smell absolutely rancid - like sour milk or cheese
The reviews on Ocado suggest I'm not alone in thinking this - sounds as if they've changed the recipe and not for the better.
My mince pies are in the oven anyway, but DD (5) has just come into the kitchen and asked "what's that sick smell?" Do I guess the pastry's not going to be much better cooked than raw

So... anyone got any better suggestions for ready-made shortcrust pastry (ideally all butter - this vile stuff is also made with palm oil, I've just noticed)? Or should I just make my own as usual?
